As a way to document my last semester, I took a Photobooth picture every day. I wanted to document how I was getting myself through my thesis, doing studio work from my bedroom, sharing time with my roommates and building a new relationship. These photos gave me a chance to record my environment, my style, my mood, my company, and my work every day. They’re an honest snapshot of who I was at that moment in time, and it’s been so grounding to look back on them postgrad and get to spend a little time with the Eme I was senior year.
I’ve decided to pick the project back up 6 months after graduation, and just keep accumulating photos. It feels like a visual journal, and when my freelance days from my bedroom feel monotonous these photos force me to pick something to highlight, separate my days, and spend my time living intentionally.
